How To Dropship Profitably In Australia

Today we're going to be covering how to dropship profitably. There are so many different ways to dropship your products, and many of them work well, but I'm going to give you my top tips.

A lot of you already dropship through eBay or Amazon, and there are other platforms as well, like AliExpress. But for me, the best way to do it is to treat it like an actual real business. Find your own suppliers, build your own e-commerce site, advertise yourself via Google PLAs, AdWords Facebook. I know a lot of you do that with cheap products on AliExpress and other platforms, but I'm talking about running your business as if you had your own warehouse and factory and you're pumping out your own products directly.

So let's start at the beginning. I always use a platform called Shopify; I find it the easiest way to build a stunning site, no matter what you're selling. Next, it's important to have a niche. I don't really care what niche, but I really look for products that are between say 200 and...

Using Oberlo for Drop Shipping Australia

Today I want to talk about whether you should start out with dropshipping by using Oberlo.

I see the temptation of it. It's a popular platform right now. Everybody's going on about it, and it sounds like an easy way to get started. You can join Oberlo, go to AliExpress, find thousands upon thousands of products, and use Oberlo to just load up your store with basically any product you want.

You get to skip the work of contacting suppliers, locking in contracts and getting reseller accounts. So I can see the benefits of it and I understand why people get so excited about the concept. Maybe they want to try running their first store with this method.

I think at the end of the day it's just so that they can skip trying to lock in those suppliers. I understand the appeal of that, but there are quite a few negatives to using Oberlo and Aliexpress. By skipping that supplier process, you're then moving all of your operations offshore, which can have a lot of negative effects on your...

Is It Too Late To Start Dropshipping in Australia?

Today I want to talk about whether or not it is too late to get started dropshipping right here in Australia.

The short answer: it's absolutely not too late! It is time to get started right now. Anybody that tells you it's too late, it's oversaturated, it's already been done, doesn't know what they're talking about. Unlike America, all the suppliers haven't caught on to dropshipping. This gives us a massive opportunity to reach out, call these suppliers, and be the only ones online selling certain products.

There aren't massive dropshipping platforms here. There are a couple, like dropship zone, color-block, or a couple of others. But a lot of the suppliers or distributors in Australia are not ready for dropshipping.

We have the chance to bring them around our way of thinking and get started with them. We can be the first to sell their products and brands online.

Amazon has only just kicked off in Australia. Think about that: one of the biggest companies in the entire world has...

The Truth About AliExpress & Facebook Ads Drop Shipping

Today I'm going to be talking about how dropshipping cheap AliExpress products with Facebook isn't really a real dropshipping business. Let me explain.

It is my belief that Aliexpress dropshipping with Facebook is just about selling one-off products, trying to find the angle, the niche, the product that's going to make you a million bucks. It's not a real business, at least in my opinion.

I know there are tons of people out there on the internet making big claims that they're making big bucks, and sure, it can be done. I'm not disputing that in any way, shape or form. You can treat it like a business but the thing with these products is that you're just always looking for the next big win.

You're not building an empire, you're not building a business up. You may be making a few bucks, but you're not building anything tangible or saleable. Let's take a look with an example of a brick-and-mortar business.

My brother and I used to run a direct sales and marketing company. We made...

5 Reasons for Australian Drop Shipping Store Failure

Why do most dropshippers fail? Why is it that a lot of people can't take it to the next level? Why do so many people get started and then quit? Let's talk about my five top reasons why most people generally quit or fail.

Number One: Quitting Too Early

If you kick off a dropshipping business, go for one week, with no sales and five hundred dollars spent on ads, you didn't really give it a proper go. You've got to give it three to twelve months, at least, to begin to build some momentum. This is a real business, this isn't a scheme to make some quick cash today. You can't just have a laugh, make some cash, and quit within five minutes.

Number Two: Bad Niche Selection

There are a lot of different niches and a lot of different reasons that they can fail. I do always say that any niche can work as long as you're willing to pay for it, so the idea is to narrow your focus and find a niche that isn't too competitive, especially when you're just starting out. If you're going to go into pet...

Does Drop Shipping Work in Australia?

Today I'm going to be covering the pros and cons of running your dropshipping stores from Australia.

Most of my stores are in Australia, and I'll get a lot of these questions: “Does it or doesn't it work in Oz?”, “Give me the pros and cons.” Let's get started with some pros and cons.

A lot of the suppliers in Oz aren't geared for dropshipping, so it can be really hard at times to find reliable suppliers. It's hard to lock them in, it's hard to get them out of the mindset of the whole brick and mortar store and into the idea of selling online. So that is definitely is a bit of a con in many ways, because it is hard to lock them in. I actually see it as an advantage though, because a lot of people give up on the first note, but you can try to negotiate a little bit and work out some terms.

I could write a whole deep dive about this subject alone, but I'll just give you a few quick pointers here. If you get your store up with a few other suppliers, you can...

5 Things You Need to Know Before You Start Drop Shipping in Australia

Today I’m going to be talking about the most important five things you need to know before you start drop shipping.

First, before you start or even if you’re just considering starting drop shipping, is number one: mindset.

If you are not ready to start a business and really give it a proper go, and I mean a red-hot go. I mean talking about putting in a few hours, at the very least, every single day. I mean staying on top of it, keeping up the grind, and treating it like it’s a part-time job. If you’re not ready for all that, you may as well not even start because it's not going to happen.

If you’re not ready to start a business and give it your all, you're going to fail. So get into the mindset. If you're going to start, don't start with “I might give this drop ship thing a go, I might snag a few sales.” Yes, you might snag a couple, but at the end of the day you won't see any real income, and you won’t turn it into a full-time...

Dropship Downunder Review - Shane S

Uncategorized Jan 18, 2019

I think the Dropship Downunder course is fantastic for anyone considering dropping shipping here in Oz, with the internet the way it is, there is a lot of info out there but its either based on overseas circumstances or a hybrid style model that just doesn’t work long term or based on chasing that next hot product via Aliexpress and Facebook ads. If you really want to build a legitimate and sustainable business that you can be proud of selling legitimate brands instead of selling cheap stuff from China that you would be embarrassed to give to your grandma for Christmas then I feel the combination of Dropship Downunder course and their mentorship is crucial for your success in this area.
