Can You Build A Drop Shipping Store Part Time?

Today, I'm going to be talking about whether or not you can build a drop shipping store or business part time when you’re in your spare time, and the pros and cons of trying to do that. So let's get started.

Right. So, can you build a drop shipping store part time? I guess in a lot of the time this is the main reason that a lot of people get started with drop shipping as sort of their leapfrog into the online world, in thoery you can quite easily start a drop shipping business in your part time or in your spare time.

Let's analyze that just quickly because a lot of people that are obviously working their full time jobs and literally trying to make the happened... you need very little capital to get started, no stock to hold, work from home etc etc however what I find a lot of the time is that they don't treat it like a real business or even a part time job... 

Most people are not putting the hours in. So let's look at it this way.

You’ve got a full time job, and just say you took on a second part time job because you needed the extra money and that's obviously why you started an online business you may or may not want to make it full time. But the point is, when you've got a full time job, what are you doing? you're working all day long, right? And then if you happen to get a part time job, or second job, what happens you finish your full time job and then you're off to your next job, right?

So, even if it's only four hours of extra work at the part time job a day, you still need to turn up for 4 hours to be paid correct? Now If you start an online business and really want to make it work, you have to treat it like a part time job. It might take you longer to succeed and actually see money in your pocket but if you are working on it part time, make it part time, so put the extra 4 hours in, treat it like a second job 100% if you don't put the hours in you don't get paid.

So when you get home from work, you have your little break and then you go back to work. Three, four hours every single night, bang, bang, bang. You really need to lift and push yourself to treat it like a real business and a real commitment of your time. Because if you're doing it in your "spare time", there is no spare time in life. you know what I mean?

if you're not serious about making it happen, "spare time" is a flimsy little word, isn't it? I mean, spare time can be anything, it can an hour here, an hour and there, on the weekend sometime or when I get around to it. It's not real. You need to set ongoing on boundaries, parameters and structure your time to make this happen.

You need to say right, I'm going to knock off work, am going to have dinner, kids go to bed or whatever the situation is and for example at 8pm, I'm going to work! from 8 to10pm. I'm going to bang out two or three hours every single day, every single night, or even on the weekend when you off from your normal 9-5 job. Bang out as much work as you can in that section of time that you've given yourself, work on it part time, not in your "spare time", not with a whimsical a here or there attitude or whenever you "find the time"... MAKE TIME...

If you really want it bad, you will find the time and you lock it in every single night, every single day to make it work. That’s all there is..

You have to make the time and give it some real commitment, otherwise you're not going to build any momentum and nothing is going to happen, you will fail... so that's the truth of it. And if you really want to make it work part time, treat it as a part time job, give it the hours it deserves, and you will succeed in the end.. 

Can It work part time? of course it can, but treat it with respect in terms of the time and momentum you're willing to give your business.
