How To Select A Stress Free Dropship Niche In 2023

 

In this post I'm going to be talking about 4 different things that you can do when selecting a drop shipping niche, so it is relatively stress-free, so with that let's get started. 

 

Right, so how to select the niche that's relatively stress-free, I mean nothing is ever easy and 100% stress-free but I've got 4 things that I usually look for in a niche when I'm building a new store or looking to build at new store and one thing is I like it to be lightweight whenever possible.

 

I'm not saying that's hundred percent for all stores I have built stores with really-really heavy stuff before, but when I'm doing my initial research I keep to it and look for lightweight items because for shipping especially in Australia it could be a nightmare.

 

It can be really tough with shipping in Australia so having quality lightweight items you know that the shipping is going to be super cheap or if even free, so when you're working with your suppliers or you actually have to organise your own shipping because a supplier won't dropship in the traditional sense you know that you're going to be able to factor that price in and you know it's not going to break the bank. You're not going to have to overthink it to much as you move forward with your business, right?

Number two is use, always always always use local drop shipping suppliers and again this is for the same reason sort of as the light items, basically for shipping if your shipping stuff in from outside of Australia the shipping times are horrendous they're ridiculous you know what I mean it's going to take weeks and weeks for your customers to get their products and it's just going to be a nightmare.

 

You know they're going to be ringing you, calling you, lots of customer inquiries, lots of hassles, lots of extra stress on you.... Not to mention eat into your profit margins.

 

So, by using only local suppliers’ Aussie drop shipping suppliers, you reduce the workload, you reduce the customer service that you're going to need to do and most importantly you reduce the stress right?

 

Third whenever I'm looking for a niche to start with, I always try and find and again this is not 100-percent the golden rule just a rough guide of what I'm looking for but I love products that have no or very little working parts then again this is so you're not you'll get much less returns, 

 

You'll get less customer problems, hassles and feedback about how does this work, why isn't it working way it should, why is this small part broken etc etc especially electronics they can be difficult because of electric motors, wiring, little bits and pieces that could be faulty with the electrics.

 

So, the fewer moving parts the better or at least you know strong durable moving parts... think push bikes for example you know they have got the really strong drive train, frame and wheels it's usually build to last and it's unlikely to break you know what I mean? This means less customer service less returns and less stress...

 

Now the last one and probably the most important one is only sell high ticket items right, I'll give you three or four reasons for why you should sell only high ticket items you make a ton more profit without having to sell hundreds of items every day to make the same amount of money, 

 

So look if you're selling a thousand two dollar items and made a profit of $1 you would make $1000 right, now look at it this way if you sold one item at $2000 with the same profit margin what have you made the same amount which do you think would be a less stressful way to drop ship?

 

Sell thousands of cheap items or one single high quality high ticket item? One item obviously it's a no brainer right? It's literally just as easy to sell a couple high ticket products as it is to sell for you to thousands and thousands of cheap ones right.

 

Also you generally sell higher quality gear right so again this is less stress, less customer service, less problems, less issues, less phone calls, just drops your stress levels a lot.  You're also generally dealing with customers that know exactly what they want not just buying on a whim and it's funny how it works,

 

The cheaper items tend for whatever reason to get these crazy returns all the time because it's just people that are browsing on the internet and bought on impulse... you know what I mean? 

 

But we're people who buy the higher ticket items tend to have done a bit of research they know what they want once they get it and it is what it says it is... they're happy and it's really quite a smooth process.

 

Plus you know high ticket items you've got the potential to build a real sustainable, scaleable, solid business and you know your profits are better, so you feel good because you're building up a real business not trying to hock cheap crap from China for a quick buck right?  

 

You're building a brand and a real ongoing business, this drops your stress down knowing that you're building something you can grow and scale and maybe later on sell if you wanted to, you know over time it's a lot more consistent than having to try and find all "hot trending items" and all this sort of rubbish right?
