Four Free Ways You Can Advertise On Facebook

Uncategorized Apr 01, 2020

Greetings here from dropshipdownunder.com.au. Today, I'm going to be talking about the Four different ways you can advertise on Facebook for free and also basically how I get a ton of extra traffic onto my email list as well. So, with that let's get started.

Okay. Four different ways to advertise on your Facebook account, and basically on youtube too, you can do it for free, okay. So, if you're just starting out, you don't have a huge budget, even if you do have a huge budget, I recommend you sort of get stuck into this anyway, but it's a really good way to hustle up a few sales when you get started. Start to scale your ad spend up, whether that be on AdWords, Google Shopping or Facebook, or Youtube.

Okay, first things first. The first one is in buy and swap groups, right? And that's generally in a local area, let's say Brisbane buy and swap, Sydney buy and swap, whatever. Usually, there are even small ones within your local area you know. So, I'm from Virginia Beach. There's Central Coast buy and swap. There are even Gosford and smaller suburbs with buy and swap groups. So, I generally join the larger ones around Australia. I've got a number of like, guy’s profiles that are used and we join the trends by sales swap groups, and we post literally our products in there for Sale.

I'll put the link in the description, so obviously, people can read the description within the post that is for sale, and click on it and head straight over to the website, and that drives the all of the traffic to your site. I'll add this at the end but you want to have your retargeting at all times for these because it is reasonably warm leads because it is in a buy and swap group. So, whoever is clicking on those products are obviously looking for those specific products that you're selling.

Then the second one is in Facebook groups, right? so this is a buy and swap group, obviously a Facebook group but how I advertise in the Facebook groups, and I'm talking about niche-specific Facebook groups, Okay. First of all, I will literally just post…let's use fishing for an example as a profitable niche. And if I've got a fishing store…I will just use it as a general store, okay? but if I've got a fishing store, I'll literally just post in the group "Hey guys, want to support a local fishing business? Check out our fishing.com site that we have just opened up with some new products.

A lot of these Facebook groups don't necessarily like ads like that, so be careful. You might get kicked out, but it's a really good way to get a lot of traffic to the store. Obviously, they are interested in your niche because they're part of a Facebook group that is niche-specific with fishing or whatever niche you are in or are looking to get into.

Get the idea?

My favorite way and this comes to number three. My favorite way to get into those groups to advertise your store is to actually reach out, and sometimes you have to pay to get into these groups. If they're a little bit more on to it, if they agree, it's a little bit bigger. Usually, they're a little bit more on to it, because other people have already approached them, but some of the smaller groups within a nation call it a fishing niche again.

I just reach out to the admin and I say hey, do you mind if… I always use the Ozzie battler line or the "I'm a small business trying to make a few extra sales in this space, in this nation. Do you mind if I take out part of your banner and advertise my business," okay? And often, a lot of times, I'll say, you'll get a reply back. Some of them will ask you will rent it out for...usually it's between 50 and a couple of hundred dollars depending on the size of the group, but others will say yeah, sure, no problem, send your artwork through and I'm happy to help you out.

I say, just use the easy angle of saying you are an Ozzy battler. I'm just starting up a new business. I'm just trying to get the word out there, do you mind if I take our party banner or your banner and advertise my business. So that's number three. It's a really good way to get a ton of extra traffic. And I'll also add that if you do offer them anything, often just say, "Hey, would you let me use this here. We enjoy your banner within the group and I'll give you a discount voucher or I'll send you a gift card or something along those lines. And also, you want to try and get the pinned post as well, okay? So you want to try and get the...you want to ask for the banner, and you also want to ask for the pinned post.

Sometimes you want to get the pinned post because they use it for their rules and all that sort of stuff or whatever the rules are, a part of their group, whatever they want to…however you want to know how the group operator uses their pin post. But if you pay them, you often get the pinned post as well and offer them a little extra amount as a sweetener and you'll be amazed, you'll be amazed at how many people say yes, okay? so you got to remember these niche groups.

If they've got 50,000 members in the group if they've got 20,000 members, you're right there in front of your target market, so it's a very powerful way to get in front of a lot of people for a very small amount of money, and you can get it done for free. Usually, it's with the smaller ones, you know, sort of 10,000 members each. When it gets higher, to the 20,000 or more you will need to start paying for these groups. They've often been hit up before, so they might be a bit more savvy, bit more onto it and they realize they can make a few bucks.

The last one, number four, and this is probably going to be the biggest one. Moving forward, I'm just playing with it. So, the jury is out for me at the moment, but it is bringing in some traffic, and that is the brand new Facebook marketplace, okay?

I think they're trying to take on Craigslist. I think they're trying to become the next Craigslist, or Gumtree, or anything like that. I think that's where they're angling this to. Like everything is for free at the moment, so there's no reason why you shouldn't be posting all of your products on the Facebook marketplace. Check it out, there's a tab there within your Google dashboard. Just look for it. It's in there somewhere. Google markets, rather than the Facebook marketplace. But yeah, you can put a whole post in there. You can put everything just like an amazing sale swap group. You know your details, the price, contact details, all that sort of stuff, whatever you want in there.

That is getting in front of thousands and thousands and thousands of extra people for nothing. It is bringing some traffic for us. I haven't quite, you know hacked it yet, I haven't worked out exactly how it goes, but I know it's going to be massive. Facebook put a lot of time and energy into this new marketplace. I can say in the future that they're going to have paid ads and featured ads and all this sort of thing, but I think they're just trying to right now build up everybody's interest and knowledge of what exactly it is.

But it's the big one for sure guys. You should have every single one of your products uploaded on a regular basis into that marketplace in different locations, different areas are in Australia. You can put in where it’s for sale kind of thing. If you follow what I mean, you can have it anywhere in Australia, whatever suburb, whatever city, wherever you want it in the location, you can put it as a specific location and reach out to the people in that area. It'll continue showing up in the news feed and all that stuff.

So, I really think that's going to be huge. I think Facebook marketplace is a free tool right now, it’s massive. Again, I've only just started testing it myself, but Facebook as a company and branding organization is all over the stuff and Facebook tends to know what you want before you do based on all the ridiculously smart algorithms and what have you stopped on your feed to look at.

So. that's it guys. That's my four free methods of advertising on Facebook.
