“Dropshipping Doesn't Work!”

Uncategorized Apr 11, 2019

I recently got a message in a Facebook group saying “Dropshipping just doesn't work.” So I'm going to talk about why it may not have worked for them and why it doesn't work for some people who try this business model.

So the claim is that dropshipping doesn't work. Obviously, I disagree. But there are a number of different reasons why people feel that this business model, so let's take a look at a few of them.

The first one is that you gave it five days and then quit. In this case, I can be 100 percent sure that you're going to fail. This is pretty straightforward and I've discussed it before, so I'm not going to get into this much more here. Let's keep going.

For dropshipping to work, you need to have a good business model. I don't like the model of dropshipping in which you sell cheap items from China on AliExpress. People may make millions of dollars doing it that way, but you need a lot of experience with Facebook ads, paid ads, sales funnels, click funnels, and all that just to make it work. You're not just going to build a site and hope for the best because everybody's on that gear. You know what I mean, it's easy to get that stuff off Ali Express. Anybody can do it.

So, what I do? Instead of focusing on their little cheap items and the easiest way to do things, I build out my own stores, and I've found that this is the best business model, at least in my opinion, to make a dropshipping store work.

So, you find your own suppliers, literally hit up the manufacturers, or find their main distributors. Get some real suppliers on board. That's how it's done.

Another way that dropshipping doesn't work is by selling super cheap items. I only sell items that are at least, over $100, but I prefer to go for between $200 and $2,000. That way, I'm making really good margins on the products that I do sell and I can focus. I really narrow down the niche. This way I can target my AdWords, PLAs, and Facebook ads on specific products that are going to make me big money.

So, if I sell an item for a thousand bucks at 20%,, I'm making 200 bucks. Compare that to selling something for 2 bucks and I'm making maybe 40 cents.

Finally, the most important thing is putting in the effort. Have you taken the time and spent some money to learn your craft? Have you learned about product listing ads? Facebook Ads? SEO? Have you studied the basics of creating a business model? This is what it takes. To say it doesn't work is just wrong.

I've made it work. I'm a very successful dropshipper, I have a ton of stores, I live here in Thailand, and I live in the location independently, okay? It does work. It's just whether or not you are committed to making it work.

So, with that guys, have a great day, continue to live the dream and we'll talk again soon.
